How Much Power Does a Large Inflatable Event Need?
Short answer: Plan one dedicated household circuit per blower, with the outlets within about 100 feet of the setup. Small combos are usually one circuit. Our bigger dual-lane slides are not. The Pipeline 27-foot double lane needs 3 separate circuits within 100 feet, no exceptions.
If the field only has two exterior outlets, that is a generator conversation before you pick the 70-foot slide. We would rather say that on the quote than kill a Saturday.
What actually draws power
Every bounce house, combo, obstacle, and water slide stays up because a blower runs the whole event. No power, no inflatable. Continuous. Not a one-time inflate-and-unplug.
- Most bounce houses and combos: one dedicated circuit. Keep other catering gear off that same outlet.
- Aloha Splash: 2 circuits.
- Pipeline 27ft double lane with slip and slide: 3 separate circuits within 100 feet. Written on the product page because people still ask to share a window AC circuit.
- Foam: the cannon is extra draw on top of whatever inflatables you booked. Call it out on the quote.
Do not daisy-chain four blowers onto one extension cord from the gym. That is how you trip the breaker in the second hour, with 300 kids in line.
Distance and generators
We bring cords. The outlet still has to be close enough. Some backyard combos want power within 50 feet. Large slides are 100 feet. If the only receptacle is across a parking lot, we need a generator on the quote, not a 200-foot hope.
School fields and park pads are the usual generator jobs. Office-park lawns with two GFCI outlets are the usual “we cannot run Pipeline here” jobs. Send a photo of the outlets and a rough tape of the setup pad.
How this changes the unit count
