How Many Attractions Does a Corporate Event Need?
Short answer: Count the people who will actually wait in a line, not the invite list. A 50-person employee appreciation can run on one obstacle plus a toddler unit if families are invited. A 500-person picnic needs tents and tables first, then 2 to 4 attractions on the side. Stacking bounce houses does not make a company picnic.

Start with who is on site
HR sends “200 employees.” That is not 200 kids in a bounce house.
- Employees only, mostly adults: 0 to 2 attractions. Mini golf, a short obstacle, or nothing but tents and crawfish tables. Adults will not wait 15 minutes to bounce.
- Employee + family day: 2 to 4 attractions. Obstacle for older kids, a toddler unit, maybe foam or mini golf. Keep age lanes split.

Attractions vs. the rest of the yard
If you only budget inflatables, the 500 people who came to eat will stand in the sun. Guest comfort (tents, tables, chairs) and food support (crawfish tables, concessions) are what a corporate guest actually uses. Entertainment is third.
A useful default for a Northshore picnic with families:
- Shade and seating for the headcount
- Food line that isn’t in the inflatable stakes
- One throughput unit (obstacle)
- One little-kid unit
- One low-line unit (mini golf or games) so grandparents aren’t stuck in a bounce queue
That is 3 attractions, not 8. More units only help if you also have more circuits, more stake room, and more adults watching.
What “more” actually costs you
Every extra inflatable is another blower circuit, another stake pattern, another supervision point. Big dual-lane slides can take 3 dedicated circuits within 100 feet.
